MOMMA MACY ~ FORMER EXECUTIVE PRODUCER

After a brief illness, Momma Macy passed away this afternoon (6.23.2023) at 2:07pm. Macy was perhaps the most social cat I’ve ever had. She was such a good friend and buddy. No matter how tough a day or how low I would get, she was always there for me.

Macy came into my life many years ago… perhaps 2009. At my parents house it was a January when I don’t think it ever went above zero. I made a little fort for her in the garage and provided food and water, which was usually frozen by morning. But she stuck around and that Spring she would go out during the day and return at night. One evening she returned and I noticed Macy’s belly a bit bigger. This is how Shoshanna came into my life. Macy and Shoshanna have been a part of my life for a good third of it. They have been with me up and down the 101/169 corridor, including living in Rogers, Princeton, Elk River and now in Zimmerman. They have been with me through so much.

Macy loved hanging out with me while listening to music in the office. When she passed this afternoon we had music from Norah Jones playing and she went peacefully. Her favorites however all correlated with the number NINE, including jamming to The Beatles with me (Revolution 9, Lennon was born on the 9th day of month), watching Seinfeld (nine seasons), coming into my life in 2009 and passing at 2:07 (2+7=9).

Macy, love you buddy and will miss you dearly. See you again one day. - Trevor
